As I mentioned in a previous blog post, I thought it would be fun to re write my blogs for the people I have shot over the years.
Last summer I really was ready to try and take my business to the next level. I always had a way of shooting envisioned for my business, but my courage to just to take control and direct more was shotty at best. I was stuck between wanting to only capture organic moments and not come off bossy and wanting to create images that told a better story with just a slight arm adjustment.
I chose last summer to start doing more of the latter, I had specific ways I wanted to capture your love story and I knew I needed to work on changing it up if a kiddo was not feeling the session.
Thus began my summer of the model calls, it went really well although I have learned SO MUCH MORE this last year, I wish I would have started learning more and then held the model calls. Anyway, I think one of the hardest things to do as a photographer or creative person is value your worth and time.
I have really been able to see myself in such a better light this last year and I know my time and value are worth something now. I can't thank my model call clients enough as they helped me get to this spot that I am at now. Without them I would still be looking to get more business so I can get the setup of how I want to photograph clients more in motion.
SO, as my throwback series starts, I thought it would be fun to go through these lovely families. One by one.
First up: in no particular order, Morissa.
Morissa is one of my husband's friends friend. We have had a lot of fun nights together hitting up breweries and one night in particular that I think we both pretended to be 21 again.
I love that I was able to get a sunset shoot in with her!
Thanks, girl, for all the fun.
